 Re: england
I've a picture for that ... now you know how we feel on the rare occasion these days that we might actually qualify for something. Having said that our media don't expect the trophy to be handed to us just for turning up. look at it this way I can't see England not getting through to the next round and hopefully you'll avoid Germany .... having said that Germany games have a bit of an effect on the England team so you never know.

 Re: england
For some reason my spidey senses have told me they would play shite, so i've managed to not watch either game so therefore have wasted about 3 hours less of my life than most other english males...

 Re: england
Isn't it worrying that teenage pregnancies are scoring more than the england team? On another note, I can't wait until this world cup shite is over, just so I can have a conversation/watch TV without having it shoved down my throat 24/7 I'm all for patriotism etc, but the way most people treat football is almost as bad as a religious extremist :/

 Re: england
Aye, you can't polish a turd. We have some decent individuals, but getting them playing as a team has been a problem for many years

 Re: england
one thing i did laugh at and think "well money is more important then" was the fact the England team couldn't play with the new ball because they had a deal with another manufacturer.
as far as i can remember there is always a new ball around world cup time so why do this?

 Re: england
Maybe their over inflated egos and bank accounts have made them too slow? That combined with the fact that the average footballer has the IQ of a small fish, really makes me wonder why everyone puts so much stock in footballers
